2 min

This guide provides some solutions for when you are unable to connect to a game server hosted on Nitrado, as recognized by the game client.

Note: These solutions are specifically for ARK servers. Their applicability to other games is unverified.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Change the Server Name and Restart the Server

  • It is recommended to use a server name that only contains letters, and does not include Japanese characters or symbols.

2. Add +1 to the End of the Server Name and Add it to Favorites

  1. From the top menu of Steam, select “View” → “Servers”.
  2. Switch to the “Favorites” tab and select “Add Server”.
  3. If the Nitrado IP address is “xx.xxx.xxx.xx:yyyyy”, add +1 to the end of yyyyy.
  4. Example: 11.222.333.44:50000 → 11.222.333.44:50001

Other Possible Solutions

  • Check your firewall settings to allow connections to the server.
  • Make sure the game version matches the server version.
  • Verify the integrity of the game files.
  • Contact Nitrado support for assistance.

Additional Notes

  • Server names are case-sensitive.
  • Make sure the server is started and running.
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable.

I hope this information helps you resolve the issue of being unable to connect to the Nitrado server.
